FreeFindTalent ("we", "us", "our") operates freefindtalent.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data. By using our platform you acknowledge you have read and understood this policy.
FreeFindTalent is a free talent-discovery platform that queries publicly available professional profile data from 14 live API sources and uses Gemini AI-powered discovery for specialist sectors. We also operate a domestic helper matching service for Hong Kong and Singapore.

Talent profiles (submitted voluntarily): When you submit your profile to join our talent pool, we collect: full name, job title, location, work history, skills, languages, availability, salary expectations, profile photo, and social/professional profile URLs you choose to share.
Domestic helper profiles: We additionally collect nationality, WhatsApp contact number, live-in/out preference, preferred work location, and an optional personal introduction.
Search usage data: We collect anonymised search queries (job title, location, industry filters) to improve result quality. We do not link search queries to individual users without an account.
Aggregated public profile data: We index publicly available professional profile data from third-party platforms (GitHub, ORCID, and others) in accordance with their publicly accessible data policies. We do not store private or account-protected data.
Search result cache: When a search is performed, the resulting profile data is stored in a globally distributed cache (Cloudflare KV) for up to 30 days to reduce repeated API calls and improve performance. This cache stores the same publicly available profile data returned in search results. Any person may request removal of their data from this cache by emailing privacy@freefindtalent.com.
Technical data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and page views, retained for up to 30 days for security and performance purposes.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
We do not share your data with third-party advertisers, data brokers, or recruitment agencies without your explicit consent.
FreeFindTalent operates globally. Profiles submitted by users in Singapore are processed in accordance with PDPA. Profiles submitted by users in Hong Kong are processed in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO, Cap. 486). Users in the EU/UK are protected under GDPR/UK GDPR. Users in mainland China are protected under PIPL.
Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards as required by applicable law.
Voluntarily submitted talent profiles are retained for up to 24 months from the date of last update or activity. After this period, profiles are automatically deleted unless you re-confirm your details. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
Domestic helper profiles are retained for 24 months in line with PCPD (HK) guidance on recruitment data.
Anonymised search logs are retained for 12 months for product improvement purposes.

To exercise any of these rights, you can use our self-service Profile Claim & Opt-out page, or email privacy@freefindtalent.com with the subject line "Data Rights Request" and your full name and the email address or profile details associated with your data. We will respond within 30 days (GDPR: within 30 days; PDPA/PDPO: within 40 days).
We use no tracking cookies and no third-party advertising cookies. We use browser localStorage solely to cache your recent search results client-side for performance (no personal data is stored). You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser storage.
We implement industry-standard security measures: TLS encryption in transit, Cloudflare edge security (DDoS protection, WAF), and strict access controls on data stores. No storage of payment card data. We do not store passwords (no user accounts at this time).
In the event of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and relevant supervisory authorities within the timeframes required by applicable law (72 hours under GDPR; as soon as practicable under PDPA/PDPO).
Our platform links to third-party professional profiles (LinkedIn, GitHub, ResearchGate, etc.). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms. Please review their privacy policies independently.
FreeFindTalent is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately at privacy@freefindtalent.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via a prominent notice on our platform for at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
